Welcome to CouricWatch!
CouricWatch is a blog dedicated, as its name suggests, to keeping tabs on Katie Couric and her merry band of fellow liberals at The Today Show, mornings on NBC from 7-10 AM ET.
For two years now, I've been posting frequent reports on liberal bias at The Today Show to the FreeRepublic.com web site. The posts have taken on a significant following, with many FR members asking to be alerted to each new thread. Things really began to take off during the recently-completed election period, with many new thread adherents and many thousands of posts over the last few weeks.
And so, in an effort to reach out beyond FreeRepublic to the larger world of people potentially interested in learning and commenting on how The Today Show (and occasionally other media) distort the news to their political ends, I bring you . . . CouricWatch. Whenever I post a thread to FreeRepublic, it will appear here as well. And of course your comments are warmly invited.
To kick things off, I'm posting below the FreeRepublic thread describing today's hijinks at The Today Show, which reports on, among other things, the show's difficulty in finding a Democrat guest amid all the liberal gloom, and the surprisingly frank and unflattering things that Newsweek editor Evan Thomas had to say about Teresa Heinz Kerry.
Welcome to CouricWatch. And let's get the liberal-watching party started!
